Several months ago, I saw the idea on Pinterest and various decorating magazines and thought it would be perfect for my home, too! This was a fun project to do, just taping the steps with painters tape was time consuming! Since I used three colors, I came up with nature elements of blue for ocean or sky, tan for sand, and green for grass. The paint that I used was a semi-gloss Valspar from Lowes.
After completing the project, I really am pleased how they turned out.

Your colorful stairs are perfect for a coastal cottage! I know every guest who enters your home will shower you with compliments.
ReplyDeleteYour stairs are just lovely! My stairs are the first thing you see when you walk into my home as well. Last year I ripped up the dingy old carpeting, plucked out staples whick took days and days, sanded, primed and painted. It was a lot of work but I LOVE them. I love the colors you chose. :)
ReplyDeleteThose stairs are so fun. I too love the colors of the sea and sky. I want to paint my stairs risers, but at the moment the stairs are covered with carpet - I see much work ahead.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your stairs. Beautiful colors!!
