It took awhile since I had to order some things through the mail. First, I bought a new blue sofa throw from Pottery Barn. The color of the throw is so subtle and soft and the feel of it is so cozy.
The next touch of blue is the mirror above the sofa. I had it originally painted a shade of brown and knew that I would eventually be changing it. So I just did a little repaint of it and VOILA! It definitely makes the room pop more than before!
The other change that I made was that I moved the bench from the dining area into the living room close to the staircase. I wanted to make this change for the spring and added new pillows with touches of blue....
I also added a blue demijohn and blue seltzer bottle to the coffee table.

Little touches go a long way...this is just perfect! I think the blue window is your crowning glory and I love the subtle shade of the PB throw. I've read that book and it's a favorite of mine to go back to once in awhile for encouragement! ;-D

ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting bench. The design is not one you see everyday. It must be quite a treasure. Putting it under your stairs makes it stand out. I'd love to find one just like it for StoneGable!
What color did you use on your mirror... it is a great shade of blue!

Your touches of blue look great. My favorite is the bunny! Life to the full, Melissa
ReplyDeleteI like the blue touches you added, and really like your wicker covered bottle on the coffee table. I've been trying to add a little blue to my house. Wish I lived closer to the coast and then I could really get that coastal feel. Instead, I'm trying for a sort of "low county look". It's still a work in progress. LOL
ReplyDeleteYour living room is so beautiful! And I love the new touches of blue! That's my goal for this year, to lighten things up and add more blue. Love your dragonfly pillow! And that precious little blue felt rabbit is the perfect addition! :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! You've got such a great living room to begin with. The touches of blue are just the right amount, to me. Definitely a lovely coastal look.
