.Hello there,
Have you ever heard of biscones? Well I haven't either until I tried one recently at my favorite bakery, Back in the Day in Savannah.
A biscone is a combination of a biscotti and biscuit. They are made with butter, flour, a little sugar and I folded in cinnamon chips and topped with a egg wash.
There is no rolling out of dough with a rolling pin either! The recipe can be found
here.
I added some confectioner sugar, pure vanilla and a little half and half and drizzled this while they were still warm. YUM!
Well they just came out of the oven. I added some confectioner sugar, pure vanilla and a little half and half and drizzled this while they were still warm. YUM! Would you like to join me along with a cup of coffee?
Thanks for visiting!
Don't tease me as I try to be good! These look delectable! Everything in moderation....right??? These would make a nice sunday morning treat!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly,
ReplyDeleteThese with coffee would be great! I have never seen the cinnamon chips up here, those might be very dangerous as I love cinnamon!!
All the Best,
Christine

ReplyDeleteI had to pin this. We used to get yummy scones from a bakery where we used to live. Miss them. These look like a replica of a delicious scone we used to love.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of a biscone, but I'm sure I'd love it....they look great!
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me to bake today, Kelly! Your biscones look delish! I made white chocolate, cranberry biscotti for the neighbors, but didn't save any for myself. On my to do list today!
