2012 Holiday Mantel

Hi Everyone: Hope you are enjoying your week. I just completed my mantel in my living room and wanted to share it with you. My mantel is very simple this year. I did not have to spend any money decorating it since I actually picked and cut all of the greens and holly for the mantel. We have a beautiful holly tree in our yard which has cluster of berries! I like this version since the leave is very soft and not prickly. I also included pine cones that I collected from my neighborhood and spray painted them "Chrome" silver. The only thing that I purchased for the hearth was a poinsettia that I placed into a red container. The vintage truck was one of my father's toy collections and I placed vintage ornaments in the back of it! Thanks for visiting! I need to finish my tree by this weekend. It is up and standing with lights only. Will share soon!

Did you seek my vintage elf peeking out of the stocking?

Thanks for visiting!  Stay tuned for an upcoming giveaway.

  1. Gorgeous! My walls are almost the same color so maybe I will try some red candles again this year. I really love the way yours look. Your mantel is very elegant and I love the basket of pine cones. Too bad my dog would chew them all up if I tried that!
    Cheers! - Shelley

  6. How lucky you are to have a holly tree in your back yard!!! Your mantel looks so pretty with all the natural greens and red berries. And the truck!!! Love.

Be careful with that elf. They are sneaky little things!

  7. Hi Kelly,
I love the fresh greens on your mantel. I have planted a holly bush, but it's too small to take some branches from it yet. Your pine cones painted with the Chrome paint looks gorgeous with your candlesticks. Very elegant!
